The Honeypot Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Event Date: 06/11/2015 at 15:30

Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of vulnerable children and young careers aged 5-12 years by providing respite breaks and on-going outreach support. They give young careers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provide a safe, nurturing environment where children at risk can develop their full potential. The vision is for every child to be able to make the most of their one chance at childhood.

Greenwood School collaborated with Foxhills Infant School, this year, to collect shoeboxes to be distributed amongst Honeypot’s vulnerable children in The New Forest.

We asked the children to make up a shoebox, in their tutor group, with small toys and gifts for either a boy or a girl between the ages of 5-12yrs.

We collected 10 shoeboxes and in total over 40 were donated from the two schools.

This will make a huge difference to a lot of local children and will make Christmas a happier time.  Thank You for all of your support.
