Careers Information, Advice and Guidance

We are committed to meeting the Gatsby Benchmark for careers education.  We aim to raise the aspirations and motivation of our pupils, working with them to remove barriers to achieve their career aims and life goals. We will support them in moving forward successfully into further education, training or employment.

During their time at Greenwood, all KS4 pupils will receive independent careers interviews and follow up meetings to offer advice and track progress.

​

We offer all KS4 pupils the opportunity to gain experiences of workplaces through work experience.

​

Year 11 pupils will receive a mock interview delivered by an employer from their chosen vocation

​

Careers guidance will also be provided through the curriculum:

​

KS3 in PSHE lessons ‘Living in the Wider World’ encompassing careers, teamwork and enterprise skills and raising aspirations

​

KS4 in Life Skills lessons including creating CV’s and covering letters to apply for jobs or college courses, interview techniques and completing college applications
