Residential Sailing Course

Ocean Youth Trust South runs residential sailing courses from March to November each year for young people aged 12-25 in our 30m sailing vessel, Prolific. The average voyage involves 5 days on board and includes 12 young people (as well as 6 – 8 adult staff and volunteers).  The young people can sail as an organised group or we can put together groups of up to 12 individual bookings. We work with a wide range of disadvantaged and vulnerable young people, focusing on confidence, self-esteem, team-working, developing new skills, coping with unfamiliar experiences, cooking and healthy eating, tolerance and understanding of others, communication skills and much more.  Please email: caroline.white@oytsouth.org to discuss opportunities for young people.
